Kookaburra Wood Carving - Camphor Laurel Wood Small
Cheeky Kookaburra!
The Kookaburra was one of three mascots chosen for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. This cheeky fella is a native bird to Australia and its bird call closely resembles human laughter or that of a cackling maniac. John Gerritsen’s hand carved wood Kookaburra masterpiece is made from camphor laurel wood and is perfect for those that like bird art or ornamental garden birds.
Made in Australia by John Gerritsen. John is a five time place winner in the annual Dame Mary Durack Bushcraft Awards, and the grand award in 1995.
